	Volunteer Firefighters Benefit Ass’n of MN 2007 Membership Meeting June 9, 2007
David Clancy opened the meeting with a Welcome to everyeone at 8:02 A.M. June 9th, 2007 at the Brainerd High School. He then introduced the Board of Directors. Motion to dispense with the roll call motion carried. Motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting which were mailed to all members’ motion carried. Secretary’s report: was read by Secretary Boynton Motion by Pipestone 2^nd by Waseca motion carried Treasurers report: given by Greg Taylor Pipestone motion to accept 2^nd by Ham Lake motion carried. Old Business: none New Business: A. Election of Directors: 3^rd District David Vaughan from New Prague 4^th District Tom Linhoff from Stillwater 5^th District Brent Aretz from Norwood Young America B. Resolution (read by Tom Linhoff) To increase benefits from $75.00 per day to $85.00 And to increase death Benefit from $19,000.00 to $ 20,000.00 (See Full resolution Attached) Motion by Pipestone 2^nd by Chisholm to adapt the resolution motion carried Motion by Roseville 2^nd by Lewiston to dispense with the paper ballot and have a voice vote motion carried Resolution Motion Carried. Dave Ganfield addressed the membership with the working relationship with the V.F.B.A. saying it’s nice to be able to talk with Firefighter’s on the board that understands fire related injuries and illnesses instead of trying to explain it to someone outside the Fire Service. No Further Business Motion by Roseville 2^nd By Jordan to adjourn, Motion carried Respectfully Submitted, Bruce Boynton, Secretary V.F.B.A.
