	Volunteer Firefighters’ Benefit Ass’n of MN 2008 Membership Meeting June 8, 2008
President David Clancy called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M. at the Runestone Community Center in Alexandria, Minnesota. President Clancy introduced the board. Motion by Rosemont, 2nd by Roseville to dispense with roll call. Minutes of the previous meeting were mailed out to all member departments. Motion by St. James, 2nd by Waconia to approve the minutes. Motion carried. Secretary’s report was read by Secretary Bruce Boynton. Motion to approve by Ham Lake, 2nd by Pine City. Motion carried. Treasurer Greg Taylor gave an in depth financial report of 2007. A motion to accept the report was made by North Mankato, 2nd by Maple Grove. Motion carried. There was no old business to be discussed. New Business: A. Election of Directors: 6th District Barry Nelson was re-elected ^8th District Greg Taylor was re-elected ^9th District Steve Spaeth was re-elected Vice President Tom Linhoff presented the Power Point on the history of the V.F.B.A. going back to 1927 with updates, procedures, figures, and numbers to the present time. This is a very informational presentation which will be given to all the directors to be shown at district meetings. “Thank you Tom” Thank you to Brent Aretz for putting together the new banner for the V.F.B.A. Being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Waconia and 2^nd By Norwood Young America to adjourn.
